One of the (few) benefits of working a 9-5 desk job in the tech industry is that I’m allowed to listen to music in my headphones almost all day every day.

So, during the week I listen to copious amounts of dj sets, and am constantly downloading my favorites tunes from all of them. These are a few of the tunes that impacted me the most. The bulk of them are Deep House, which has been my obsession for the past few months, but that genre gives perfect vibes for summertime. So I just can’t help myself.

Deep House

Asaf Avidan – One day / Reckoning Song (Wankelmut Remix)

Maceo Plex – Mind on Fire

Sascha Braemer – Yeahhh (Original Mix)

Solee – Jonalu (Norman Zube Remix)

Stereo Express – Sweet Dreams

Karmon feat.Terry Shand – Take my Hand

Klangkarussell – We want your soul

Techy goodness

Terje Bakke – Tango Orange

Future Bass/Garage

BareSkin – Infinite Reflections

Retro vibes

Lana Del Rey – Young And Beautiful (Kulkid Remix)

For the Almost Summertime-Sunsets

Active Child – Johnny Belinda (MDK REMIX)

Old School Vibes

If you’ve been paying attention to dance music in the past year, you’ve noticed there is a huge 90s revival going on. Artists out of the UK are really leading the charge here, and have made their own version of “UK house” that blends quite nicely with all of the future garage/future bass sounds.

If you’re familiar with the types of sounds I’m referring too, it’s time to educate yourself.

First, here is a song from 1994, and then some modern ones that fall right in line with the 90s grooves.

Barbara Tucker – I Get Lifted (Go To Church Mix) [1994]

In the past few months, I cannot think of a single song that had infected my brain as much as Tattoo Girl. It has so many elements from different sounds that I liked, all rolled into an inked up beauty.

Ferreck Dawn, Redondo – Tattoo Girl

Duke Dumont is a perfectionist and releases very few songs. Living up to his massive deep house smash “The Giver” is no easy feat, but his latest single Need You 100 is quite capable of big things on its own.

Duke Dumont feat. A*M*E – Need U (100%)

Onto the more 90s garage influenced sound, Jack has been slaying clubgoers for the past few months

bREACH – Jack
